Universities

Germany's leading technical universities share a common character: they are research-intensive, industry-connected, and built to produce graduates who can solve real problems. Most are members of TU9, the alliance of the nine most prominent German technical universities, and several rank among the top 100 in the world for engineering and natural sciences. Tuition is free or nominal at almost all of them, funded by the state rather than student fees. What differs is location, research focus, campus culture, and the systems you will use every day once you arrive. The universities listed below are the ones we have profiled in depth, each with its programmes, services, scholarships, and academic admin guide.
