## Admission requirements

- Prior degree: Bachelor's (180 ECTS) in Mathematics, Computer Science, Natural Sciences or Technology/Engineering - STEM backgrounds only
- Minimum grade: not confirmed
- Also required: Two-stage Eignungsverfahren (aptitude assessment) applies. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission - applicants are ranked. Check TUMonline for current procedure details. Stage 1 is a points-based review of bachelor grades and documents including a short motivation letter of about 150 words; stage 2 is a 20-30 minute interview held in English. uni-assist VPD (Vorprüfungsdokumentation) required for applicants with a non-German bachelor's degree; APS certificate required for applicants from China, India and Vietnam.

## Application deadlines

- All applicants, winter semester: 2026-05-31 (PASSED as of the last site build; the window usually repeats next cycle). Application window 1 April - 31 May annually via TUMonline. Winter intake only.
