# Sustainable Chemistry (MSc) at RWTH Aachen

New from winter 2025/26, this English-taught interdisciplinary programme deepens sustainable-chemistry methods, adds two research internships, and integrates process engineering, biotechnology and technology assessment plus a full life-cycle analysis case study, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Aimed at chemistry graduates focused on circular-economy chemistry and defossilization.

## Admission requirements

- Prior degree: German B.Sc. in Chemistry or an equivalent degree; equivalence is assessed under the course-specific examination regulations
- Minimum grade: Open admission (no NC)
- Prerequisite credits: Chemistry background per the examination regulations
- Also required: Master's applicants — EU and non-EU alike — apply directly via RWTHonline. RWTH verifies foreign documents internally: no uni-assist, no VPD, no application fee. Applicants may apply to at most 10 Master's programmes. APS certificate required for applicants from China, India and Vietnam.
