Computational-science master spanning engineering, mathematics and computer science, descended from RWTH's AICES graduate-school lineage and run with the German Research School for Simulation Sciences (Jülich). It is RWTH's English-first counterpart to the German-taught Computational Engineering Science programme, and a genuine RWTH differentiator - neither TU Dortmund nor TUM offers a master's under this name.

## Admission requirements

- Prior degree: Bachelor demonstrating 120 CP across mathematics, natural or engineering sciences and computer science (with stated minima, e.g. at least 10 CP core mathematics)

- Prerequisite credits: 120 CP across mathematics, natural/engineering sciences and computer science, including at least 10 CP core mathematics; Motivation letter; Two letters of recommendation
- Also required: Special aptitude assessment applies - admission runs via the German Research School for Simulation Sciences and the Simulation Sciences examination committee, NOT plain open admission; meeting minimum requirements does not by itself guarantee a place. Admission also involves the Module Matching Form against RWTH's required modules. Master's applicants apply directly via RWTHonline - uni-assist is NOT used. No application fee. APS certificate required for applicants from China, Mongolia and Vietnam per the programme page; the RWTH-wide APS requirement for India also applies (confirm). Summer intake unconfirmed - the confirmed intake is winter.
