## Admission requirements

- Prior degree: Recognised first university degree comparable to RWTH's Georesources bachelor
- Minimum grade: Credit-profile gated rather than NC-based; admission is denied if more than 30 additional CP would be needed
- Prerequisite credits: 20 CP mathematics, chemistry and physics; 45 CP geosciences; 5 CP geoscience field work; 5 CP business and economics
- Also required: A subject-specific self-assessment is required for enrolment. Requirements follow the Course-Specific Examination Regulations dated 3 July 2023; the examination board decides eligibility. Master's applicants — EU and non-EU alike — apply directly via RWTHonline. RWTH verifies foreign documents internally: no uni-assist, no VPD, no application fee. Applicants may apply to at most 10 Master's programmes. APS certificate required for applicants from China, India and Vietnam.
