## Admission requirements

- Prior degree: Bachelor in Food Chemistry or a substantially equivalent degree
- Minimum grade: Not admission-restricted (no NC)
- Prerequisite credits: At least 35 LP of laboratory work in inorganic, physical and organic chemistry and biology; At least 25 LP in food analytics
- Also required: Note: at KIT, Food Chemistry is a Master of Science, not a state-examination (Staatsexamen) programme as it is at some other German universities. EU and non-EU applicants alike apply directly through the KIT Online-Portal of the International Students Office; KIT performs its own foreign-degree equivalence check. No uni-assist, no VPD, no application fee. APS certificate required for applicants from China, Vietnam and India.
